Alumni Highlights

  • Brian and Kate Fassett are serving in the Peace Corps in Bulgaria. Both are teaching English, as well as working on other projects with NGOs.

  • Maureen Skidmore received the Best Senior Honors Thesis Award at Salisbury University's Honors Convocation on 2 May 2003. Her thesis, entitled "Shrimp Farming in Latin America: Environmental, Social and Economic Problems and Future Solutions," incorporated information Maureen learned while on the Bahía de Caráquez-Canoa field trip at the end of the 2002-03 Intersession.

  • "It's good to be home," remarks Newley Purnell, a 2002-03 Intersession TEFL participant, about his return to Cuenca to teach English at CEDEI. Read about Newley's experience in his weblog.

  • Meghann Riley, an Occupational Therapy student from Keuka College, completed her senior year Field Period through the 2002-03 Intersession Program that CEDEI co-sponsors with St. Ambrose University and Salisbury University. Read more ...
